About Me

DSC_8932.jpg

The Miss America Organization has provided me a platform with which to spread my personal mission of funding Pediatric Cancer Research.

In 2011, one of my best friends, Gracie Woods, was diagnosed with cancer and began to fight for her life! While watching Gracie battle her cancer, I felt drawn to learn more about her disease. It was through my research that I stumbled upon the most crushing statistic I have ever read! Only 4% of funding dollars raised for cancer research is given to find a cure for pediatric cancer! ONLY 4%!!!

Unfortunately, Gracie passed away in September of 2015 at the age of 16.  It has become my passion to help raise money and awareness to help fight childhood cancer.

With limited treatment options for children, I found it imperative that we begin working now to find a cure through the funding of research specifically for childhood cancer. I hope to not only inspire you to contribute funds towards this cause but to help raise awareness for the current lack of funding.
